Scientific name: Megaskepasma erythrochlamys

Family: Acanthaceae

Origin: S America

Medicinal use: They are rounded bushes that can reach 4-5 meters in height. The leaves are large opposite, oval and of a bright green color with marked veins. The most attractive are its spike-shaped inflorescences about 20 cm high with small white flowers surrounded by showy red or pink bracts. They bloom from late summer to late fall and can also do so in late winter.
