Medicinal use: Acerola (Malpighia gabra) is a small fleshy fruit that grows from a shrub originally in Central America. Acerola is a fruit very rich in vitamin C, one of the richest that nature offers us. They are also rich in other antioxidants such as carotenoids, tannins, and phenols. This makes it one of the most antioxidant foods known.
