Scientific name: Schinus terebinthifolia
Medicinal use: The false pepper is native to Brazil and continues to grow wild in this country from north to south (especially in the Atlantic Forest, Cerrado and Pampa). This tree is very attractive ornamentally, in frost-free regions of South America for its decorative foliage and fruits. The seeds are used as a spice in moderation, adding black pepper, it is used to garnish and add a note of flavor to all kinds of salads, soups, sauces, meat and fish.
