Scientific name: Prunella vulgaris
Medicinal use: It is taken internally as a medicinal tea for sore throats, fever, diarrhea, internal bleeding, and to relieve heart and liver ailments. Topically, a poultice from the plant is applied to irritated skin, such as that of toxins from nettle. A comfrey poultice also serves as a disinfecting agent and is used to wrap wounds in the absence of other wound care materials.
